Torre a Cona: Chianti dai Colli Fiorentini

Dear friends,
our wine evenings are back, presenting a winery of almost 20 hectares of vineyards, almost all Sangiovese, located near Florence: Torre a Cona.

The event will take place on Friday, 17 October at 8:30 PM.

The estate is a boutique winery within a property distinguished by an 18th-century villa and an iconic 12th-century medieval tower; it offers prestigious hotel accommodation and a farm located on a 200-hectare estate, rich in history, tradition, and culture.

We will talk about and taste not only wine, but also Vermouth, which deserves special attention: the property was purchased in 1935 by Napoleone Rossi di Montelera, grandson of Luigi, founder of Martini & Rossi. Here, the vermouth is no accident; an old recipe from 1920 is used, featuring wine selection and long aging in glass.

Sales Director Filippo Frullini will explain the wines and the company's philosophy, which places Sangiovese at the heart of its focus and production. We will taste:

• Chianti Colli Fiorentini Crociferro 2022
• Toscana Colorino Casamaggio 2022
• Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva Badia a Corte 2020
• Vermouth Torre a Cona

From the kitchen, Marco Cappelletti presents:

• Pheasant terrine with game stock, hazelnut, and Jerusalem artichoke
• Cannellone of braised Beef cheek with baby spinach sauce, foie gras, and Black Truffle
• Wild Boar shoulder stew with peppercorns
• Variation of three chocolates
• Coffee

The cost for the evening is €60.00 per person
Reservations are required and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
